Demystifying Academic Articles and Peer-Reviewed Resources

Demystifying Academic Articles and Peer-Reviewed Resources In-Person

What does it mean when an assignment requires an academic article? Is it the same as a scholarly article? What is an academic journal? How is it different from a newspaper? What does “peer-reviewed” mean?

Want answers to these questions, and some tips and tricks on how to read an academic article? Join us for a 30-minute workshop to learn how to find academic journals and peer-reviewed resources; as well as explore the different sections of an academic journal to sharpen your research skills. This Workshop is well suited for first-year students, transfer students, and graduate students.

This in-person event does not require registration.
